Kristen Stewart to be Honored for Her Artistic Achievements

Kristen Stewart has evolved pretty substantially as an actor since her breakout role in the Twilight film series.

She often skipped mainstream roles for a chance to work on more adventurous and smaller, but well-respected projects.

Now, she’s being honored for that body of work at the upcoming Zurich Film Festival with their prestigious Golden Eye Award.

Festival organizers explained the choice in a statement, saying: "Although she could have been involved in blockbuster movies after Twilight, Stewart has consistently opted for artistically engaged indie films. She’s succeeded with the difficult balancing act between mainstream and art house in an exemplary way."

Kirsten’s new movie Seburg, about 60s actress Jean Seburg, who became a target of the FBI will premiere at the festival October 2nd.
