Selena Gomez’s hot new song "Lose You to Love Me" is out today, which she co-wrote with one of her best friends and frequent collaborators, Julia Michaels.
Finneas, Billie Eilish’s extraordinarily talented brother and producer also contributed, as did top notch producer Justin Trantor.
While it appears working with such a talented team should be seen as a dream come true for any artist, one Twitter troll suggested it’s further proof that Selena Gomez actually can’t write music herself.
But Julia was having none of that, she actually replied directly to his feed, writing:
"I can actually 100% say that Selena is VERY much a songwriter. Coming from someone that has written with her multiple times. Please don’t comment on things you know nothing about. It’s extremely rude."
For the record, Selena has always received co-writing credits on the songs she and Julia made together including “Hands to Myself” and “Bad Liar.”
