Here's Why Finneas Recorded His EP All Over the World

By now the story is a bit of legend, Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas, essentially recorded the entirety of her album of the year frontrunner, When We Fall Asleep Where Do We Go?, in his childhood bedroom in their parent’s home.

And now, fueled by Billie’s meteoric rise, Finneas just released his own EP. It turns out his effort was also recorded in sleeping quarters, just not his own.

He tells Billboard he wrote and recorded a lot of the project whenever he could while he was on tour over the past 12 months.

"Sometimes I'd put a blanket over my head to get it to be a little quieter," he recalled. "I like listening to it and knowing that I was in Dublin, recording those vocals, and in Russia, recording those vocals, and that just makes it a cool time capsule thing.”

Finneas’ EP Blood Harmony is out now.
