The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry or IFPI, which is an organization that represents the interests of the music industry globally has just announced who the Top 10 best-selling artists were worldwide for the 2019 calendar year. As you might expect it’s packed with familiar names.
We’ll give you the Top 4, starting with Billie Eilish, which is particularly meaningful because she only released her debut LP last year.
Post Malone lands at #3, followed by Ed Sheeran at #2 and the reigning queen of pop is Taylor Swift at #1.
It’s worth mentioning that The Beatles begin the list at #10, which is all the more impressive when you consider their last original album is more than 50 years old.
