'Drama Queens' Encourage Fans to Watch DVDs Amid SAG/AFTRA, WGA Strikes

The SAG/AFTRA and WGA strikes are still ongoing, and many are conflicted on whether or not watching shows on streaming services is considered crossing the picket line. In Tanya Rad's trending report, she shares that she's seen TikToks where people on the picket line are saying it is not considered crossing it, at least for now.

However, the One Tree Hill stars and Drama Queens podcast hosts Sophia Bush, Hilarie Burton, and Bethany Joy Lenz are standing in solidarity to support the strike and are conflicted due to contracts stating they are obligated to continue recording their podcast.

Drama Queens, which is a rewatch podcast where the hosts and stars of the popular 2000s TV series, go episode by episode to break down the show and give behind-the-scenes stories of what they remember from their time on the show. Fans usually watch the show's episode prior to listening to Bush, Burton, and Lenz recap it on the podcast.

So what should they do amid the strike?

The hosts are encouraging their listeners to rewatch the show on DVDs and box sets instead of streaming them on streaming services.

If this strike goes on much longer, will others on the picket line encourage us to do the same?
