A lot of us today get advice on TikTok: life advice, love advice, hacks…but you need to be careful, because some of the viral trends either don’t work or are really unsafe. Let’s break down some of the recent trends…

DIMPLE MAKERS

Apparently, there is some device you can get that gives you dimples. It leaves impressions on the muscles and fat pads in your cheek.

IS IT SAFE?

No. The indentation doesn’t last long, and overuse could cause nerve damage and lip paralysis.

BANANA BOTOX

Supposedly, you rub the inside of an old banana peel on your face, leave it for 20 minutes and rinse. They say it will tighten pores and reduce inflammation…like Botox.

IS IT SAFE?

Yes, but it does not work.

CASTOR OIL IN YOUR BELLY BUTTON

TikTokers are putting a drop of castor oil in their belly buttons…claiming it dissolves cysts, cures digestive issues and clears your colon.

IS IT SAFE?

It’s safe-ish…but it doesn’t work and could cause side effects like skin irritation and allergic reactons.

COFFEE ENEMA

Some believe that brewing coffee and putting it…down there…is a deep detox and will help with weight loss.

IS IT SAFE?

No! Could cause major side effects…some of them fatal. 3 people are said to have died from this.
