Alaska Airlines Passenger Details Scary Moment Aboard Flight 1282

Would you fly again? Emma Vu, a passenger from Alaska Flight 1282, joined Ryan Seacrest on-air on Monday, January 8, to share details about the terrifying moment a panel flew off the plane at 16,000 feet.

The Boeing plane was traveling to Ontario Airport before it returned to Portland and made an emergency landing. A cellphone, a teddy bear and a little boy’s shirt were sucked out of the cabin and the door has since been found in someone's backyard. Alaska Airlines promised to provide each passenger with a refund of their tickets and $1,500 to assist with inconveniences.

"It's going to take a long time until I'm back to normal," Emma shared with Seacrest, revealing she was awoken from a nap when it happened. "My first instinct was to talk to my family and friends."

Emma shared that surprisingly a lot of people were actually calm during the situation and that while she's traumatized, she's going to fly again because of her work.

"I can't not fly the rest of my life."
