Kate Hudson Takes Us Behind Her Debut Single, Touring, Being Mom & More!

Kate Hudson's official single is here! The actress debuted her first-ever debut track "Talk About Love" on-air with Ryan Seacrest on Tuesday, January 30, and it's a major vibe.

The "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" icon shared that while she's always been creating music, the time had come to share it with fans.

"I've been so scared to do it. I always said if I was ever going to do music I'd have to really commit to it and ... to write it myself," Kate shared. "... Me writing it was the most important thing."

The feel-good track was written by Hudson, Linda Perry and Hudson's partner & musician Danny Fujikawa.

"I don't think if I did that in my 20s or even my 30s that I would be prepared for the criticism, but now I just don't care," Hudson said. "... Honestly lockdown was the big moment for me. Reflecting on my life and my career ... and like, 'Where does this go?' I was like if I don't put a record out it'll be the great regret of my life."

The actress -- who isn't retiring from acting any time soon either with a Mindy Kaling-produced Netflix series in the works -- confirmed that she'll be going on tour with the album.

"I'm so excited. I've been on tour a lot. I like being on the road. I've been on tour with partners. With dads," Kate joked, referring to exes Chris Robinson and Matt Bellamy with whom she shares sons Ryder and Bingham. "... They're going to be much more fun when I'm doing them. There's going to be a lot more meditating than the ones I've been on, I can't wait. ... I put this great band together. They're brilliant musicians. ... It's going to be fun to put this to a live setting. The album has a lot of different kinds of music on it. It's kind of cross-genre."
